The No-Bake Cookie Story
No-bake cookies originated during the great depression, became popular in the 1950’s, and until now were always made at home. A true American classic, no-bakes, unlike crunchy and crumbly baked cookies, have a wonderfully indulgent taste and amazingly creamy texture that will melt in your mouth and satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth.
The No Bake Cookie Company was born when Carol Healy, who started making no-bakes as a kid, cooked up a batch and sold them in the family market: They blew off the shelf! Now handcrafted daily in a certified Gluten Free/Non-GMO factory in Bend, Oregon we produce the country’s only branded line of traditional no-bake cookies. Even though we are now in over 2500 stores across the country we still make our cookies one batch at a time, using only simple, wholesome ingredients resulting in the perfect snack, sweet treat, desert, or just wonderful nostalgic trip back into grandma’s kitchen.
Welcome to My Kitchen
I’m sincerely grateful that you would take the time to stop by and read my blog. My husband Tom and I run a couple of business here in Bend, Oregon but The No Bake Cookie Company holds a very special place in my heart. This brand was born from the love of my family and our shared love for wonderful food and, yes, wonderful sweet foods. No Bake cookies have been in my family since the 50’s and they are still our most favorite sweet treat.
In 2011 we started the company after I cooked, packed and labelled some of my no-bakes and put them on the shelf in our convenience store. The response was too amazing to describe. They sold out in a few hours and our customers were literally begging for more. Tom said he could see the lightbulb go off in my head, and the next thing you know we were building a factory to figure out how to take a homemade recipe and product and scale it to industrial size.
